Many confined space fatalities involve not one but two victims: the worker and the rescuer. A major reason why confined space incidents can be especially deadly is because the hazards tend to be misunderstood or underestimated.
This course covers OSHA Permit-Required Confined Spaces Regulation 1910.146 Subpart J. It teaches team leaders, managers, HR leaders, safety and health committee members and others who have safety and health responsibilities how to protect fellow workers from serious harm.
What you’ll learn:
- OSHA Regulation 1910.146 Subpart J
- Differences between confined spaces and permit-required spaces
- How to identify and evaluate atmospheric, mechanical and chemical hazards procedures for self-rescue, non-entry rescue, entry rescue by company employees, and entry rescue by emergency responders
