Summary:

The Outreach Training Program is a voluntary program intended for entry level workers. Its purpose is to promote workplace safety and health and to provide workers with the knowledge to identify workplace hazards and skills to implement the proper controls.

 

Description:

The Arizona Chapter National Safety Council is partnering with Safety Help Today to provide this 1910 OSHA 10 course. Participants will receive training pursuant to OSHA 29 CFR 1910 requirements.

This program provides training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards. It emphasizes the value of safety and health to workers and will cover the following topics:

·         Introduction to OSHA and worker rights

·         Walking and Working Surfaces

·         Exit Routes and Emergency Action Plans

·         Fire Prevention and Protection

·         Electrical Safety

·         Introduction to Industrial Hygiene

·         Hazard Communication

·         Personal Protection Equipment

·         Ergonomic Safety

 

Course length: 10 hours plus required breaks.  Participants will  receive an 1926 OSHA 10 card upon successful completion.
