Summary:

The Outreach Training Program is a voluntary program intended for entry level construction workers. Its purpose is to promote workplace safety and health and to provide construction workers with the knowledge to identify workplace hazards and skills to implement the proper controls.

 

Description:

The Arizona Chapter National Safety Council is partnering with Safety Help Today to provide this 1926 OSHA 10 course. Participants will receive training pursuant to OSHA 29 CFR 1926 requirements.

This program provides training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards. It emphasizes the value of safety and health to construction workers and will cover the following topics:

• Introduction to OSHA and worker rights

• Focus Four - Electrical Safety

·   Focus Four – Fall Protection and Prevention

• Focus Four - Caught-In Hazards

• Focus Four - Struck-By Hazards

• Personal Protection Equipment

• Excavations and Trenching

• Health Hazards

• Hand and Power Tools

 

 

Course length: 10 hours plus required breaks.  Participants will  receive an 1926 OSHA 10 card upon successful completion.
